Process mapping that survives the workshop.

Swimlaner is the swimlane process designer for real workshops: model together on screen, print poster-size, mark it up, and freeze the version everyone agreed on.

The Swimlaner editor with a swimlane process open, lanes and a controls lane visible.

The workshop loop

Model the process live — on a laptop or an iPad. Export a true-vector PDF and print it wall-size on a plotter. Let the team draw on paper, then change the diagram in minutes and print again. When everyone nods, save the version. That's the loop Swimlaner is built around.

How a workshop runs: model, print, mark up, agree — repeating until the team agrees, then freeze. Start Model Print Mark up Agree Freeze until everyone agrees
One workshop, one loop — the diagram on the wall and the diagram on screen never diverge.

Built for print

A0, A1, A2 — the page grows with your process. What you see on screen is exactly what comes off the plotter: same layout, same typography, vector-sharp at any size, with a title block, legend, and an appendix of every attribute and open point.

The controls lane

Internal controls are not an afterthought. Every process has a dedicated controls lane; each control is linked to its task and carries type, execution, frequency, owner, and evidence — documentation your auditors will actually like.

Versions and agreement

Drafts autosave. Versions are immutable. The agreed flag records sign-off, and a single-editor lock keeps workshop edits orderly — no merge surprises, ever.

The big picture

Processes never live alone. Lay out your process landscape as a matrix — your own dimensions, every cell linked to a real process with its live status — or as a map showing how goods, documents, and responsibility flow between them. Overviews in Swimlaner can't go stale, because they reference the real thing.

AI-ready

Swimlaner speaks MCP. Connect an AI agent, hand it the workshop transcript, and review a drafted diagram — structure from the agent, layout from Swimlaner, judgment from you. Uncertainties arrive as open points, not as silent guesses. The agent interface is not part of beta access.

Honest about money

Right now the goal is one thing: building a genuinely useful tool for designing swimlane processes. The early phase is free. Once Swimlaner proves its worth in your real work, we'll ask for a fair contribution to keep building it — you'll know before anything ever costs money, and there is no lock-in: your processes export as PDFs you keep.
